The iGreen Partners (iGP) business company was established with the aim of promoting and implementing the green transition process, in order to finally turn Albania into a leading player into the Western Balkans countries in this field and thus seize a unique opportunity in terms of environmental safeguard and resilience, increasing public confidence in circular economy by involving local communities.
Depends on three Main Factors
Contributing to the development of the legal and institutional framework, and the implementation plan that will help to introduce the elements of the circular economy, as well as the growth of nature based solutions on in a sustainable development of the country.
Supporting economic planning and development on the principles of environmental conservation and resilience by contributing to the study of natural resources (biodiversity, forests, waters, etc.), assessing the impact on the environment interventions, developing management and rehabilitation plans, as well as avoiding impacts of tourism developments in nature.
Inclusion of the interested actor's opinion, increasing their participation and confidence in sustainable development, but also the possibilities of influencing political decision-making that directly reflects on the growth of their well-being.
01. Cooperating with institutions and administrations to promote the development of green transition, also by contributing in establishing guidelines for the assessment of their plans.
02. Contribute in increasing the functional level of environmental protection principles and their implementation in the country's economic development plans.
03.Actively seeking synergies and compatibility between nature resource exploitation and the benefit sharing of the local communities.
04. Promoting the collaboration between the various players in the newly implemented circular economy in order to speed up the achievement of regional targets as much as possible.
05. Facilitating discussion and social dialogue between projects developers and the stakeholders involved, such as environmental associations, local authorities and communities.
06. Raising awareness of the social and environmental benefits that the green transition brings to our country, also by means of information campaigns involving citizens and schools.
07. Working in project management through building capacities in the government institutions with emphasis to the local authorities.
08. Working with the education sector to create a training programme for skilled specialists coming from the communities living in the areas where the plants could be implemented.

Zamir Dedej, born on 4 August 1966 in Tirana, is graduated as biologist at the University of Tirana in 1989, having a Master degree in 1998 and a PhD for marine ecology in the year 2006. He worked at the Institute of Biological Research (Albanian Academy of Sciences) as a marine biologist until 1998 for 9 years (with study experiences in Italy and Israel), other 9 years (1998-2007) as the Nature Protection Director at the Ministry of Environment, from 2008-2014 was directing an NGO named Institute of Nature Protection in Albania (INCA), from February 2015 appointed as General Director of the firstly established National Agency for Protected Areas until March 2022, and at the moment is the Administrator of iGreen Partners (iGP) consulting company and work as freelance expert. In his working positions out of management task he was covering the issue of environmental in general, with emphasizes for nature conservation, biodiversity, protected areas, wetland, as well as marine and water resources management, being one of the national qualified experts in the environmental policy in the country and region. Lastly he is working with the circular economy and green transition process.

The company “iGreen Partners” successfully completed the facilitation and management of the summer school on marine litter, with the participation of 30 students and young specialists. The project was supported by Milieukontakt Albania within the framework of the EU-funded project “Clean Rivers – Clean Seas (RIVERCLEAN)”.
